Robot data, inside your application

FANUC Robot SDK is a .NET library that makes data exchange between FANUC controllers and your own software simple. Whether you are building monitoring screens, data collection applications, test tools or software tailored to your plant, you reach the robot data through a single library.

Read the robot’s register, variable, I/O and position information, write values to selected outputs, registers and variables, and copy files from the controller to your computer.

What does it offer?

Registers and variables

Read and write numeric registers together with their comments. Access system and program variables and string registers.

I/O read and write

Read all defined I/O types. Manage DO, RO, GO, AO and Flag outputs; the value is checked after every write.

Position data

Bring position registers, the robot’s current joint values and its current position into your application. The value reported by the controller is preserved as is.

File access and bulk download

List files on the robot, read them one by one, or download them in bulk with their folder structure. HTTP and FTP options are available.

About the scope: The SDK focuses on access to robot data; it does not start robot programs or move the robot. Controller model, software version and access settings can vary from site to site, so let’s confirm compatibility together before installation. Robot safety functions must always be provided by independent systems.
